R.Bender_Color.JPG (9583 bytes) During Ryan’s senior year at Shorewood High School, he was named first-team all-WestCo, as he put up 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game.

He attended college just up the street at Edmonds Community College where twice he was selected NWAACC all-conference. This past season, he was the team’s second leading rebounder at 9.7 per game and shot 55 percent from the floor. He averaged 15.7 points per game.

Ryan is a wing player with explosive jumping ability and overall upper and lower body strength.

Coach Pfeifer on Ryan Bender: "We were fortunate to beat numerous four-year schools in getting Ryan to sign with us. Ryan is a total-package player. It’s not always what he produces with the ball, but what he is able to do away from the ball that makes him such a valuable player to this year’s program."
