Falcons Soar Past Warriors, 99-68
LEWISTON, ID--Seattle Pacific used its strong outside game along with a perfect night from the free throw line to rout Lewis-Clark State, 99-68, Wednesday night, December 13th, at Warrior Gymnasium.
Seattle Pacific (5-2), ranked #19 in the current NCAA Division II poll, shot 52% (13-25) from behind the 3-point line and shot a perfect 13 of 13 from the charity stripe. Preseason honorable mention All-America Brannon Stone and John Hubbard scored 28 points apiece to lead the Falcons.
Seattle Pacific opened the second half with a 10-0 run to take a 21-point lead. The Warriors made a valiant 18-8 run to cut the lead to 11, but could not get any closer.
Lewis-Clark State (7-4), ranked #11 in the latest NAIA Division I poll, were led by Beau Barneys (Grand Junction, CO) career-high 19 points. Ryan Bender (Shoreline, WA) added 12 points and a team-high five rebounds and Phillip Way (Craigmont, ID) chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
