LEWISTON, ID--Jeremy Jeppesen (Centerville, UT) scored a team-high 20 points and Ryan Bender (Shoreline, WA) recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, ten on the defensive end, to lead 11th-ranked Lewis Clark State to a 94-80 Frontier Conference mens basketball win over Montana State-Northern, Saturday night, at Warrior Gymnasium.
The Warriors (10-6, 2-0 Frontier Conference) shot an outstanding 83.3% (25-30) from the free throw line to spark the victory. Jared Price (Gresham, OR) came off of the bench and scored 14 points and dished out seven assists. Phillip Way (Craigmont, ID) added 13 points.
The Skylights (6-10, 0-2) were led by Keith Carothers team-high 25 points. Bruce Stacy scored 16 points, in a reserve role, and Josh Hays netted 14 points before fouling out. David Sawyer chipped in with 12 points.
The Lewis-Clark State Warriors will travel to Western Montana College for a Frontier Conference game, Thursday night, January 11th, following the womens game.
