Warrior Men’s Basketball Receives 21 Votes for NAIA Top 25 Poll
LEWISTON, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team received 21 votes for the NAIA Division I Top 25 Basketball Poll released Tuesday, January 15th. The Warriors received eight votes in last week’s poll.
27th-ranked Lewis-Clark State (15-5, 4-0 Frontier) won both of their games, handily, over Montana-Western (86-68) and Montana Tech (119-78). The Warriors hit the road this week for games at Rocky Mountain (5-13), Thursday night, and at 18th-ranked Carroll (15-5), Saturday night. Carroll moved up five spots in this week’s poll.
The top three teams remain the same from last week. Biola University (18-0) is ranked number one with seven first place votes. Georgetown College of Kentucky (20-0) is second and received three first place votes. Oklahoma Baptist University (17-0) received two first place votes and are ranked third. Southern Poly Tech of Georgia (13-1) moves up one to number four, and Union University of Jackson, Tenn. (14-2) jumped all the to #5 from last week’s #10 ranking.
No other Frontier Conference teams were ranked in the Top 25, but Montana State-Northern (13-6) received six votes and Westminster College (12-8) received one vote for the Top 25.
