Warriors Rout Trojans, 100-52
LEWISTON, ID--Jason Brazier scored a game-high 20 points
in leading Lewis-Clark State to a 100-52 thumping of Southern Alberta Tech,
Sunday afternoon, at Warrior Gymnasium. The Warriors have won two straight
over the Canadian school, and have defeated them three times, in all, this year.
Six Lewis-clark State (8-4) players scored in double figures. Lance Pecht
scored 14 points while Brian Meneely and Lester Bruno each tallied 11 points
apiece. Meneely also recorded eight assists. Beau Barney registered
13 points and Sta'Fon Lawson chipped in with ten. The Warriors pulled down
46 rebounds and were led by James Idoko's nine boards. Brazier and Lawson
both tallied eight rebounds.
Dan Reid led SAIT (5-7) with 13 points. Rod Barnett chipped in with 12
points. The Trojans were held to 29.7% (19-64) shooting from the floor.
The first half was close, but a 14-7 run by the Warriors near the the break,
helped L-C going into the locker rooms with a 12-point lead. A 28-5 run to
open the second half put the game away quickly.
