Warriors Jam the Loggers, 118-93
LEWISTON, ID--Lewis-Clark State sank a school record 16
3-pointers in a 118-93 rout of Puget Sound, Tuesday night, at Warrior Gymnasium.
LCSC surpassed the old record of 15 set against Simon Fraser during the 1987-88
season.
Brian Meneely scored a career-high 29 points and doled out seven assists to lead
Lewis-Clark State (9-4). Sta'Fon Lawson registered 22 points, nine
assists, and nine rebounds. Beau Barney added 17 points and Jason Brazier
tallied 16.
Aubrey Shelton scored a game-high 30 points for Puget Sound (4-4) and also
pulled down seven rebounds. Matt Glynn added 20 points for the Loggers.
The Warriors jumped out to a big 35-9 lead with 9:04 remaining in the first half
and never looked back. But the Loggers would go on a 22-7 run over the
final moments of the first half and the early part of the second half to cut the
lead to just six points. A 20-7 run by L-C in middle part of the second
half would see the lead balloon to 23. The Warriors would lead by as many
as 27 in the second half.
