Pfeifer Wins Record #213; Warriors Roll, 105-79
LEWISTON, ID--Lewis-Clark State head coach George Pfeifer set a school record with his 213th career victory in leading the Warriors to a 105-79 victory over the University of Great Falls in a NAIA Division I Frontier Conference men’s basketball game, Saturday night, at Warrior Gymnasium. Pfeifer (213-179), in his 13th year, passed former LCSC Athletic Director, Dick Hannan (212-228, 15 years).
Jason Brazier had a phenomenal night for Lewis-Clark State (18-7, 7-2 Frontier Conference). Brazier poured in 42 points, tying him for third-most points scored in a game. His 17 field goals ties him for second-most made in a game. Brazier also tallied five steals, four assists, and made 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. Sta’Fon Lawson recorded his fifth double-double of the season, and second consecutive, with his 17-point, 13-rebound effort. He also registered seven assists. James Idoko poured in 15 points coming off of the bench, helping the Warriors 70-36 point advantage in the paint. Brian Meneely added 13 points on the evening.
Danny Ball led Great Falls (4-22, 2-7) with 20 points and six assists. William Butler added 18 points and gabbed a team-high nine boards, coming off of the bench. Dustin Lym chipped in with ten points.
The Warriors led by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Argonauts could only get as close as 15 points in the second half. Lewis-Clark State forced 20 UGF turnovers, and converted them into 33 points.
