Five Warriors Named Academic All-Frontier Conference

LEWISTON, ID-Five members of the Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team were named to the 2001-02 Academic All-frontier Conference Team, announced Friday, April 12th.

Josh Wilson (Orofino, ID/Orofino HS), Brian Meneely (Kennewick, WA/Kennewick HS), Chris Allen (Spokane, WA/Spokane CC/North Central HS), Jason Brazier (Antigua, West Indies/College of Southern Idaho), and James Idoko (Otukpo, Nigeria/College of Southern Idaho) were the LCSC representatives.

Wilson, a Computer Systems Analysis major, is recognized for the second time for his accomplishments as a student-athlete by the conference. He averaged 6.4 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game and also blocked a team-high 27 shots. Meneely, a Mathematics major, also earns his second appearance on the academic team. He averaged 14.5 ppg and 3.9 assists per game. Allen, a Business major, averaged 6.5 ppg and 3.6 apg. Brazier, a Business major, averaged a team-high 18.6 ppg and made 84.4% of his free throws. Idoko, a Nursing major, averaged 12.0 ppg and 5.7 rpg in just 24 games.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore at the college/university, maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, and participate in at least half of the team’s contests.
