Frontier Conference Preseason Basketball Poll Released
Lewiston, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College men’s and women’s basketball teams are picked to finish second in the Frontier Conference, according to the preseason coaches poll released Tuesday, October 16th.
The L-C men (17-13 overall and 8-6 in the conference last year) picked up 43 points for the nod at second-place, just four points behind defending regular-season champions Westminster (22-9, 13-1). Carroll College (26-6, 11-3), the defending conference tournament champions, tallied 37 votes, good for third-place. The University of Montana-Western (16-15, 8-6) was picked fourth followed by Montana State-Northern (15-15, 7-7) in fifth, Montana Tech (12-19, 5-9) sixth, Rocky Mountain (9-21, 3-11) seventh, and the University of Great Falls (1-30, 1-13) is picked last.
The men open the season on November 1st against the Northwest
All-Stars, in an exhibition game, at Warrior Gymnasium at 7:00 PM. The men open
the home half of its regular-season schedule on November 23rd in the opening
round of the Clearwater River Casino/KOZE Tournament.
