2001-02:Started one game and played in 29 as a
freshman for the Warriors…Averaged 4.4 points and 12.8 minutes per game…Had
a 19 point, 5 rebound, and 4 assist game versus Southern Alberta Tech on
December 8, 2001…Contributed another 19 point effort vs. Montana Tech on
January 12, '02 in a 119-78 win...Coach Pfeifer on Lance: “This is a young man that is a
very good player. He is committed to basketball and getting better. For the
most part, every time we called upon him last year, he gave us quality
minutes. I can remember his first seconds in a college basketball game were
against Washington State University. He entered the game, spotted up at the
3-point line and knocked down his first shot. When Lawson couldn’t play in
the NAIA National Tournament, his minutes increased and he stepped into that
environment and made plays. This past off-season, he has really dedicated
himself to the weight room and it shows. We see Lance as not only being a
valuable contributor this season, but also a player who will be on the top
players in our league his last two years.”
