BUTTE, Mont. -- Juanita Villa led
the Lewis-Clark State women's golf
team to a one-stroke win at the
Montana Tech Tournament at Fairmont
Hot Springs Golf and Country Club on
Monday.
Villa took home medalist honors with
a three-round score of 229 for L-C,
which barely nudged out Rocky
Mountain.
The Warrior men finished the
tournament in second place, 16 shots
off the pace set by Montana Tech.
Nik Arrenbrecht was the top L-C
finisher, carding a 221, 10 shots
behind medalist Byron Olson of
Montana Tech.
"It was our first conference
tournament of the year, and I
thought we got off to a good start,"
L-C coach Paul Thompson said. "The
women really put up a good effort."
