State College senior pitcher Mike Miller has
been named the Region I pitcher of the week
for his performance against Albertson
College last week, it was announced
Wednesday.
Miller, a 6-foot-2 right-hander from Dos
Palos, Calif., tossed a complete game
three-hitter in a 4-1 win over the Coyotes
last week. He struck out six and didn’t
allow a walk.
Miller pitched five perfect innings before
allowing a single in the sixth. Two singles
in the seventh produced Albertson’s only
run. Miller faced only 29 batters in the
game.
Miller is 3-0 on the season with a 2.76
earned run average. He has pitched in seven
games this year and opponents have just a

He is just the second Warrior to win Region

third baseman Beau Mills was both the Region
I and the NAIA Player of the Week.
Also on Wednesday, the seventh NAIA poll of
the season came out and the Warriors, as
they have all year, were ranked No. 1. LCSC
drew 20 of the 23 first-place votes for 572
points. Azusa Pacific, 41-4, picked up the
other three first-place votes and was ranked
No. 2 with 554 points.
Auburn-Montgomery, Oklahoma City, and St.
