Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions to help at the 54th annual Avista NAIA World Series, which will be held May 28-June 4 at Lewis-Clark State College’s Harris Field.
The annual 10-team week-long tournament has a total of 1,673 volunteer positions this year and approximately a little more than 200 remain.
The key date is Saturday, May 29 and key areas are the main concessions and ushers. In the concession area, volunteer responsibilities include cashier work, waiting on customers, filling cups with ice and soda and sometimes help with the cooking, although there are workers scheduled to do the cooking. Ushers help people find their seats and keep the walkways and stairs clear. Ushers will be trained prior to the Series.
Other volunteer opportunities include selling 50/50 tickets at the late game, left-field concessions, program sellers, ticket sellers, and ticket takers.
Both groups and individuals are encouraged to volunteer.
All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt.
