WARRIOR LOSE TO No. 20 CARROLL COLLEGE

Lewis-Clark Scores 21 Times from the Service Line

LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State Volleyball team lost to Carroll College 30-22, 30-22, 24-30, 25-30, 13-15 in Frontier Conference action on Saturday night at Warrior Gym.

The Warriors jumped out early on the visitors from Carroll, winning the first two games in quick fashion.  Four Warriors scored in double-figure kills led by Senior Kim Condor's (Puyallup, Wash.) match-high 19. Much like Friday night, the Warrior held a distinct advantage from the service line, connecting on 21 aces.

Midway into the second game an injury stoppage seemed to halt the Warrior's momentum while it sparked the Saint's offense.  Carroll stormed back to win the final three games, led by Mary Lester's team-high 18 kills.  The senior outside hitter also led the team in digs with 14.

Senior Lindsay Iroume (Morinville, Alberta) continued her hot play from Friday night, adding 15 kills and a match-high eight service aces in the loss.  Middle blockers Amy Flaig (Missoula, Mont.) and Addy Hines (Kalispell, Mont.)  recorded 14 and 10 kills respectively.

The Warriors return home Oct. 9 to face Montana Tech at 7p.m. in Warrior Gym.
