LCSC Goes 3-1 in Montana

DILLON Mont. - The Warrior Volleyball team won three matches at the Western Invitational over the weekend.

Senior middle blocker Amy Flaig (Missoula, Mont.) recorded 52 kills over the four-game span to lead the Warrior offense.  In their first match of the tournament, LCSC beat Frontier foe Westminster College 30-21, 30-24, 28-30, 30-24.  Also scoring in double figure kills was junior Addy Hines (Kalispell, Mont.) who recorded 10 in the win.  Freshman Dawn Ingham (Capistrano Beach, Calif.) led the team with four service aces.

In their second match, senior Kim Condor (Puyallup, Wash.) and junior Amanda Page (Albany, Ore.) led the Warrior offense with 13 and 12 kills respectively, as the Warriors defeated Montana Western 18-30, 30-26, 31-29, 30-26.  Condor and Page also headed a strong defensive effort with a team-high 22 and 17 digs a piece.  Junior Anna Johnson (Junction City, Ore.) recorded a match-high 45 assists.

The Warriors third match was highlighted by Courtney Callaghan's (Missoula, Mont.) team leading 23 digs and LCSC beat Dakota Wesleyan 30-23, 30-27, 30-24.  Outside hitter Kim Condor also had a strong defensive game with 19 digs while adding 10 kills on the offensive end.  Montana native, Amy Flaig led the red and blue with 12 kills.

In the finale of the tournament LCSC lost to Montana Tech 31-29, 25-30, 23-30, 15, 30.  Flaig and Hines led the Warrior offense with 15 and 10 kills each.  As with their third match, Callaghan led the team's defense with 18 digs in the loss.  Alberta natives Marie Lauder (Fort MacLeod, Alberta) and Lindsay Iroume (Morinville, Alberta) each recorded five kills in the match.
