Played tennis for three seasons at Gresham at No. 1 singles and was the team captain her junior year… She won first-team all-conference honors all three seasons and took third at district her freshman year, and then won the title her sophomore year, while finishing second as a junior… She was the district Player of the Year as a sophomore and was the team’s MVP all three seasons…At Beaverton High, she played No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles and earned the team MVP award. She finished fourth at the district tournament in doubles and then placed sixth at state… She belonged to the Diversity Club, Key Club, Black Union Club, Animal Rights Club and wrote for the school newspaper while in high school.
