JUNIOR: Came out on winning end of 2-6, 6-4, 12-10 slugfest with Shaleigh McClintock of No. 19 Northwestern Ohio in first round of NAIA national championships, helping Warriors to team shutout…Played exclusively No. 2 singles, compiling 8-12 record on the season…Teamed with top singles player Dominika Jasova as Warriors No. 1 doubles team for 15-6 mark.

 

SOPHOMORE: Teamed with Jasova at No. 1 doubles for 7-10 record…4-15 split between No. 2 and No. 3 singles.

 

FRESHMAN: Made an immediate impact as a freshman and played exclusively at Nos. 1 and 2 in single for the Warriors…Finished the season at No. 2 singles and 10 of her opponents were either ranked in the NCAA or NAIA Top 50 players during the season…In doubles play, she won two matches, including a critical 8-0 shutout victory over a team from Mobile in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament, which helped the Warriors to a 5-4 victory. Her other win came against Whitworth…Played at No. 1 doubles for most of the season, but was at No. 2 with Samantha Teigen for the national tourney.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended SMK Kuching High School.

 

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 20, 1991 to David Chong Taw Lock and Tay Moh Teng…Has a brother, Danny Chong Hengjiew and a sister, Daphne Chong Siew Ling.
