PORTLAND -- Jessica Foot scored 27 points -- on nine 3-pointers -- as Lewis-Clark State cruised to a 73-54 victory over Concordia in a nonconference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors' shooting was in stark contrast to their performance in Friday night's victory over Linfield. Instead of shooting cold from beyond the 3-point line, L-C shot 12-for-33 (36 percent) from the arc. Leading the way was Foot, whose nine 3-pointers is a school record.
"Foot was on fire," said Warrior coach Brian Orr. "Every night we try to find the hot hand and she was it tonight."
Shannon Russel set L-C's former single-game 3-point record, eight, in 2001.
Starter Ashley Baker scored 10 points and Elise de Groot came off the bench to add 10 points for the Warriors. Baker added seven rebounds and Foot led L-C with five assists.
Concordia was led offensively by Karla Finn with 18 points and Katie Atkins and Leigh-Anne Durham with 10 each.
The Warriors improve to 6-4 on the season.
