COLLEGE NOTES: Baker, Brothers get week's kudos

Lewis-Clark State's Ashley Baker and Martin Brothers have been named the Frontier Conference's women's and men's basketball players of the week.

Baker, a 6-foot-3 sophomore post, scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in the Warrior women's two victories last weekend at their American West Bank Tournament. Baker was named MVP of the tournament, in which L-C beat William-Jessup 90-46 and Whitman 69-60.

Brothers, a 6-8 senior forward, had 26 points and 17 rebounds last weekend as the Warrior men split their two games at a tournament in Walla Walla. Brothers was an all-tournament pick as L-C lost to Whitworth 51-46 and defeated Whitman 69-55.
