Vancouver’s Boggs Signs With
LEWISTON, ID-Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball coach Brian Orr announced that Danielle Boggs (Vancouver, WA / Columbia River High School), a 5-9 guard, has signed a letter of intent to attend the school and play basketball. “Danielle is an excellent athlete with a great work ethic and a passion for the game,” said Orr. “She has a presence on the court both offensively and defensively and has the ability to make big plays on both ends. She is a great rebounder, a tenacious defender, and she is an effective scorer as well. We are excited to have her part of our program.” A 1st Team All-League (Greater St Helens League) selection, Boggs averaged 14.3 points and a league leading 10.8 rebounds per game during her senior year. She shot 46.8% from the field and led her team in assists with 4.3 per game and steals averaging 4.5 per game. “The fact that she led the league in rebounding as a guard says a lot about her,” stated Orr. “She is an explosive jumper and is very strong. We see her making an immediate impact for us next season.” Boggs joins Katie Hart (Kittitas HS), Jade Fulbright (Wenatchee HS), Nikki Haerling (Wenatchee Valley College) and Vanessa West (Jerome HS) in Orr’s 2004 recruiting class. |
