Crater
Lake’s Reiter signs with
Lewis-Clark
State
6-23-07
LEWISTON,
ID – Lewis-Clark State College women’s
basketball coach Brian Orr announced that
Kenna Reiter (Central Point, OR / Crater
Lake High School), a 5-foot-10 guard, has
signed a letter of intent to attend the
school and play basketball starting in the
fall.
“Kenna is
an outstanding player, an excellent student,
and a great person,” stated Orr. “She’s
strong, athletic and she possesses a
tremendous work ethic. She
handles the ball extremely well and her
biggest strength is the ability to get to
the basket and finish with either hand.
We feel fortunate that she decided to join
our basketball program. “
A four-year
starter for Crater Lake High, Reiter average
10 points, 4 assists, 7 rebounds and 5
steals per game as a senior. This past
year she was named team MVP and was selected
First Team All-Southern Sky Conference.
Reiter was also an
Oregon
5A Second Team All-State selection.
“There
are a lot of positives that Kenna brings to
the court, but what really stands out is her
toughness and desire to compete,” said
Orr. Reiter earned a 3.96 GPA and will
be a Pre-Med major at LCSC.
Reiter is
the fourth recruit signed by Orr this
spring. The Warriors lost five seniors and
three starters off a squad that finished
31-3 and reached the Sweet 16 of the NAIA
National Tournament last year.
