Three
Warriors honored
at conference tournament

BILLINGS, Mont.
– Three members of
the Lewis-Clark State College
women’s basketball
team were named to the all-Frontier
Conference Tournament
team last
weekend,
conference commissioner Mike Walker
announced on Thursday.
The women’s
all-tournament team was composed of three
players from Carroll, which edged LCSC 71-69
in the title game, and three Warriors.
LCSC’s Ashley
Baker, a 6-3 senior post, recorded
double-doubles in scoring and rebounding in
two of the Warriors’ three games. She
finished 17-of-27 from the field, scored 44
points, and had 25 rebounds.
She was joined on the team by Janeen
Nelson, a 5-9 senior guard,
who went
14-of-31 from the field, including 9-of-22
at the 3-point line, 6-of-6 at the foul
line, scored 42 points, grabbed seven
rebounds, and also had five steals.
Jade
Fulbright, a 5-7 junior guard, was
the third Warrior
selected. She was 10-of-30 from the
field, 7-of-9 at the foul line, had 30
points, three rebounds and four steals.
They were joined on the
all-tournament team by Carroll College’s
Jolene Fuzesy (the MVP), Amy Brooks, and
Sophi Forney. |
