from Touchet,
Wash., has been
named the
Frontier
Conference’s
women’s
basketball
Player of the
Week for her
performances
last weekend.
The 10th-ranked
Warriors
remained in
first place in
the conference
with a pair of
road victories.
On Friday, LCSC
defeated Montana
State
University-Northern
77-52. In the
game, Short went
9-of-13 from the
field, including
2-of-2 at the
3-point line,
for 22 points.
She also was
2-of-3 at the
foul line,
grabbed six
rebounds, had
two assists, and
two steals. On
Saturday, LCSC
stopped the
University of
Great Falls
90-62 as Short
went 7-of-14
from the field,
including 2-of-3
at the 3-point
line, for 16
points. She also
had four
rebounds, four
assists, and a
steal.
For the week,
Short averaged
19 points and
five rebounds.
She also went
16-of-27 from
the field,
including 4-of-5
from the 3-point
line.
Rayshaun Ames of
Great Falls and
Delvaughn Tinned
of Montana
State-Northern
shared the men’s
weekly award.
LCSC’s Mike
Gordy was
nominated for
the honor.
