2-13-08
The Lewis-Clark State
College men’s basketball
team jumped six spots in
this week’s NAIA Top 25
poll, while the Warrior
women’s team remained in the
same spot.
The Warrior men, who were
ranked No. 19 last week,
jumped six spots after
defeating then-No. 9
Westminster last week for
the second time this season.
The Warriors, 16-6 overall,
are now ranked No. 13, while
Westminster, 16-4, is now
at No. 15. Fellow Frontier
Conference members Rocky
Mountain and Carroll
received votes, but didn’t
crack the Top 25.
The Warrior women suffered
their first league setback
last week to Westminster,
but the Warriors, 18-4
overall, hung on to the No.
10 spot, right behind No. 9
Azusa Pacific. Carroll
stayed at No. 13 and is 19-3
overall, while Westminster
climbed one spot to No. 23
with its win to improve to
18-6 overall. Montana
Western and Montana
State-Northern also drew
votes in the poll.
Last week’s No. 1 teams,
Mountain State University
men and Union University
women, remained as the
unanimous No. 1 teams in the
NAIA.
