LCSC women climb to No. 11
1/5/2009

The Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team jumped three places to No. 11 in the first NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Top 25 Coaches Poll of the new year, which was released on Monday.

The Warriors, who were idle during the Christmas break other than playing an exhibition game against Seattle University, moved from No. 14 to 11 to remain the top-ranked Frontier Conference team. The Warriors are 10-3 overall and kick off conference play on Friday at the University of Great Falls.

LCSC had 201 points in the poll, which again was topped by Union. Westminster and Carroll College, fellow Frontier Conference members, are ranked No. 21 sand No. 25, respectively.
