For the second time this season, Lewis-Clark State College senior Kim Preston has been named the Frontier Conference's Player of the Week.
The 5-foot-9 guard from Bellingham, Wash., helped the Warriors to a pair of conference victories on the road last week.
She had a huge game Friday night in the Warriors' 73-47 win over Montana Tech. She came off the bench to hit seven 3-points, which ties her for the third all-time best mark in program history. Preston finished the game 7-of-14 from the field, including 7-of-12 at the 3-point line, for a game-high 21 points. She also added six rebounds, including four on the offensive end, and added two assists.
A night later in a 70-51 win over Montana Western, she scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-5 at the 3-point line. That left her 10-of-17 from the arc in the two games.She also added two rebounds and three steals as LCSC improved to 18-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
Also nominated for the women's award were Marissa Francis of the University of Great Falls, Taylor Keller of MSU-Northern, Elisa Leader of Westminster College, Janie Rayback of Rocky Mountain College and Genna Rucker of Montana Western.
On the men's side, Chad Myers of Montana Western was the weekly winner. He averaged 18 points and four rebounds in the Bulldogs' two victories.
Also nominated, Curtis Allen of Lewis-Clark, Travis Noble of MSU-Northern and Devin Uskoski of Rocky Mountain.
