Now
entering his 8th year as the women’s basketball coach at
Lewis-Clark State College, Brian Orr has established himself as one of one
of the premier coaches in the Frontier Conference and NAIA, and is quickly
becoming one of the most accomplished basketball coaches in Warrior history.
Amassing an overall
win-loss record of 177-57 (.756), Orr has earned three straight Frontier
Conference Coach of the Year awards, and has led his team to three straight
conference championships. In the last three year, Orr has an 86-15 (.851)
overall record and a 38-4 (.904) mark in the conference. Under Orr’s leadership
the Warriors have qualified for the NAIA national championship six times in
the last seven years.
On December 10, 2005, with
a victory over Warner Pacific College, Orr won his 100th contest,
a milestone that was achieved faster than any previous L-C basketball
coach. In his seven seasons at the helm, Orr has averaged 25.3 wins per
season, the best in the history of the program. His teams currently have
the best home court winning percentage at the school with a remarkable 96-14
(.873) record. In addition, Coach Orr has compiled an impressive 78-20
(.796) conference record, another first in the Lewis-Clark State record
book.
Before coming to Lewiston,
Orr was the top women’s assistant at Montana State University in Bozeman,
Montana. During the 2000-01 campaign, the MSU Bobcats posted the
fourth-best turnaround in NCAA Division I and finished with an 18-10 overall
record and an 11-5 record in the Big Sky Conference.

Prior to his stop in
Bozeman, Orr served as the first
women’s basketball
coach at the University of Great Falls in 15 years. Brian also served as the
top assistant coach at perennial NCAA Division II power, Montana State
University-Billings from 1996-98. In his three years at MSU-Billings he
helped lead the Yellowjackets to a 64-22 record and three straight trips to
the National Tournament. MSU-B finished the 1998-99 season at 25-6 and
advanced to the "Elite Eight", the best finish in school history.
Before serving at MSU-Billings,
Orr was the head boy’s basketball coach at Fergus High School in Lewistown,
Mont., from 1991-96. He was named the school’s Teacher of the Year in 1996.
Brian also served as both the head boy’s and girl’s coach at Simms High
School in Simms, Montana, from 1986-91. In 1990, he led the team to the
Montana State High School Class B State Championship, while being named
Coach of the Year by the Montana Coaches Association. And in 1989, he was
honored by the Dufresne Foundation as the Outstanding Educator of the Year.
Orr began his head coaching career at Joplin-Inverness High School in
Joplin, Montana. From 1982-86, he served as the school’s head boy’s and
girl’s basketball coach and athletic director. In his 14-year high school
coaching career, his teams won five conference titles and his girl’s teams
amassed a 101-39 (.721) record.
A native of Livingston,
Mont., Orr graduated in 1982, from Eastern Montana College, now known as
Montana State-Billings, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary
Education. He received his Master’s of Science Degree in Education from MSU-Billings
in 1997. Brian is married to the former Bonnie Olson. The couple has four
children, Pat, Casey, TJ, & Bobby.

Robin Bogar is
entering his fourth year as the top assistant for the women’s basketball
program at Lewis-Clark State College. In his first three seasons with the
program, Robin has had a major impact as the team has finished as the
conference champion each year. During his tenure, the Warriors have a
remarkable overall record of 86-13 (.877) and have a conference record of
33-4 (.892). In addition, LCSC has reached the Sweet 16 at the National
Tournament in each of the last three seasons, including a final eight finish
last year.
Prior to his
arrival in Lewiston, Coach Bogar was at Montana State University-Northern
where he was an assistant coach for women’s basketball and was also the
school’s golf coach. A graduate of Montana State University-Billings, Bogar
received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Public Relations in 2003. After
graduation he spent one season as the boy’s basketball coach at Joliet High
School in Joliet, Mont. The following year he did a one year stint at
Ryegate, Mont. where he was the head coach for both the boys’ and girls’
varsity basketball teams.
In addition to
being in charge of the women’s basketball strength and conditioning program,
Bogar will be involved in every aspect of the program including: recruiting,
on-court coaching, game and practice planning, travel, and film exchange. A
native of Circle, Montana, Robin is finishing his master’s degree in Sports
Management at the University of Idaho.
