Wow! I
cannot believe it is
already the end of
October. This month
flew by, considering we
have been practicing two
times a day, six days a
week for most of this
month. This past
Saturday we had our
first scrimmage in which
we played an outside
competition – NIC (North
Idaho College). We
played well together,
but we still have so
much to improve on for
our first game. We had
a lot of support
considering it was only
a scrimmage, but the
support was highly
appreciated. It makes
such a difference when
we have so many people
there cheering us on.
This past
month our team has
seemed to come together
even more than the
beginning of the year
during our
conditioning. We play
hard every single day in
practice, battling each
other as though it were
a game. So much sweat
has been poured on the
court along with some
injuries that are
devastating to watch.
Tasha is out with her
knee and we are looking
forward to her return
soon. Madison is
recovering and we
finally have Alyssa
back. Many of us are
maintaining a healthy
lifestyle to minimize
any more injuries
because each person on
our team brings
something different and
without each individual
player, our puzzle isn’t
complete.
We have
one more week of
practice until the real
fun begins: playing
games. We have
implemented most of our
offenses and most of our
defenses and are in
substantial condition to
where we hopefully will
be able to out-run our
opponents. This Sunday
we play Washington State
then we are off to
California to battle the
best, then back to Boise
State the following
Sunday. We have five
(5) games in seven (7)
days. What a schedule!
We look forward to
pushing ourselves once
again and creating a
footmark that will be
hard to recreate.
