The Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team fell one spot in this week’s NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 poll to No. 12 after going 1-1 on its first Frontier Conference road trip of the season.
The Warriors, 17-3 overall, defeated Montana Western 72-56, but then loss to Montana Tech in Butte 69-61 on Saturday.
LCSC drew 187 votes in the poll and trails No. 11 Azusa Pacific by 23 points despite beating the Cougars twice this season.
Fellow Frontier Conference member Westminster is ranked No. 14, while Montana Tech drew votes in the poll.
Union kept its strong hold on the top position and has been ranked No. 1 for 30 straight weeks.
The Warriors will be home this week for a pair of FC contests. On Thursday, LCSC plays host to Rocky Mountain on Whiteout Night. All fans are encouraged to wear white shirts to the game. On Saturday, LCSC plays host to Carroll and all general admission tickets are only $1. Both games start at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m.
