The Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team remained at No. 12 as the top 12 positions in this week’s NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll remained the same from a week ago.
The Warriors, as did No. 11 Westminster, defeated both Carroll and Rocky Mountain on the road last week to join the other Top 10 teams in going undefeated last week.
Westminster, 23-5, received 206 points in the poll, while LCSC, 25-4, earned 200 points. The two teams meet this Saturday in Salt Lake City at 4:30 p.m. to decide the conference title. Westminster is 12-1 in league play, while LCSC is 11-2. If LCSC wins, the two teams would tie for first place in the regular season, but LCSC would be awarded the top seed in the conference tournament based on sweeping Westminster during the regular season. If Westminster wins, it will be the top seed, while LCSC would be the second seed.
Montana Tech also received 29 votes in the poll and just missed cracking into the Top 25.
Union of Tennessee held down the top spot for the 35th straight week.
