Lewis-Clark State College junior Jasmine Stohr has been named the Frontier Conference’s Player of the Week for women’s basketball, league officials announced on Monday.
Stohr, a 6-foot forward from Yakima, Wash., was named the MVP of the Greg Jose/Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic last weekend at the LCSC Activity Center, helping the 11th-ranked Warriors improve to 6-0 on the season.
Stohr had a season-high and matched her career high with 30 points in a 74-60 win over Cal Baptist. She had nine rebounds, three assists and four steals in the contest, and went 9-of-9 at the foul line.
Stohr also helped the Warriors defeat No. 13 Biola 61-52 in the opening round when she had 13 points and six rebounds.
For the weekend, Stohr averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 steals.
The Warrior women are now off until Dec. 3 when they play Menlo College in the first of three games on a California road trip. LCSC will also play the University of La Verne and University of Santa Cruz during the trip.
