Lewis-Clark State College senior point guard Kenna Reiter was named the Frontier Conference’s Player of the Week for her outstanding play last week in leading the No. 10-ranked Warriors to a pair of league victories on the road.
Reiter, who is 5-foot-8 and from Central Point, Ore., scored a career high 22 points last Thursday in a 79-57 win over Montana Tech. In that game, she went 9-of-13 from the field and 2-of-2 at the 3-point line. She also had six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
She followed that performance with another solid outing in a 93-70 win over Montana Western. She scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting and also had five assists and three rebounds.
For the two games, Reiter averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals. She made 14 of 21 field goals, 2 of 2 3-point field goals and 3 of 4 free throws.
Reiter is the second Warrior to be honored this season as junior forward Jasmine Stohr has won the award twice.
The Warriors are back in action at home this week against Carroll College on Thursday and Rocky Mountain College on Saturday. Both contests start at 6 p.m.
Also nominated for the weekly award were Dani Hosking of Rocky Mountain College, Hayley Pettit of Montana Western, Laramie Schwenke of Montana State-Northern, Nicole Yazzie of Westminster College and Jamie Young of the University of Great Falls.
