Lewis-Clark State College’s Jasmine Stohr was chosen as the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, league officials announced on Wednesday.Stohr, a 6-foot senior from Yakima, Wash., averaged 22.6 points in the Warriors’ three wins last week, and is currently ranked third in the nation in scoring with 22.8 points per game.
Stohr had a season-high 28 points and 11 rebounds in LCSC’s 84-51 win over Hope International; 23 points, four rebounds, and three assists in a 66-55 victory over Biola; and had 17 points, three rebounds, six assists, and six steals in the 107-25 blowout of Walla Walla University.
This stands as the fifth time Stohr has received the award during her career at LCSC. She earned the honor twice last year as a junior and twice the year before as a sophomore.
Lewis-Clark State is currently 5-0 as it heads into the Greg Jose/Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic this weekend. The Warriors will take on Concordia at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and Pacific Union at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
