For the third consecutive week, the Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team is ranked No. 8 in the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, which was released by the national office on Monday.
The Warriors won two conference games on the road last week to improve to 23-3 overall and 9-2 in the Frontier Conference. They topped Carroll College 67-50 and then defeated Rocky Mountain 67-62.
LCSC earned 244 points in the poll and now trail No. 7-ranked Lubbock Christian by just four points. Westminster College stayed at No. 18 and remains the only other conference team in the top 25.
Oklahoma City remained the unanimous No. 1 selection for the third consecutive week.
This week the Warriors will play a pivotal game against league-leading Westminster in Salt Lake City on Saturday. With a win over the Griffins, Lewis-Clark State College will move into a tie for first in the conference standings.
