Three members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, NAIA officials announced on Monday.
Seniors Tasha Bishop and Jasmine Stohr and junior Annie Kane were honored for LCSC. Bishop is a sports administration major, Stohr is an Elementary Education major, and Kane is Kinesiology major.
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, have achieved a junior academic status, and have attended the nominating institution for two full semesters to qualify for the honor.
This is the second year in a row that Bishop and Stohr have received the accolade.
The Warrior women led the Frontier Conference in number of athletes earning the award. Carroll College and Montana Tech had two apiece, and Westminster College had one.
