HORNFELT COMMITS TO PLAY FOR WARRIORS IN 2004
Pullman Native Ranks Second on the Greyhounds
All-Time Kills List
LEWISTON,
Idaho –Hornfelt, a recent Pullman High School
graduate, ranks as the Greyhounds second all-time leader in
kills and was named All-State Honorable Mention and First Team
All-Conference (Great Northern League) as a junior. The 6-1 senior led the
Greyhounds in kills as a freshman, sophomore and junior, registering a
combined 422 kills the past two seasons.
As a sophomore, Hornfelt led the team with 154 kills and was named the
team’s most valuable player. In 2001, she was named to the All-Palouse
Volleyball Team by the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. In 1999 and 2002,
Hornfelt received the Coaches Award at the Washington State Volleyball Camp.
Along with her volleyball accomplishments, Hornfelt is also an accomplished
in basketball and track. A letterman in a three sports as a sophomore and
junior, she led the Greyhounds in rebounds as a sophomore and was named the
Most Improved Player and an All-Star Team selection at the 1999 NBC
Basketball Camp.
The
two-time volleyball team captain also has performed well in the classroom.
Currently holding a grade point average of 3.44, Hornfelt was named First
Team All-Academic and Second Team All-Academic as a freshman and sophomore
respectively. Mollie served as freshman and junior Class President and was
elected Homecoming Princess her sophomore year.
