Warriors Open Volleyball Season At Home With Win
LCSC Beats Warner Pacific 3-1

Lewiston, ID- The Warriors opened the 2004 volleyball season at home Saturday night with a win over Warner Pacific, beating the knights from Portland, Oregon three games to one.
Lewis-Clark State College brought a balanced attack at the net Friday night, where four different Warriors reached in double-digit kills. Freshmen Mollie Hornfelt, from Pullman, WA, started her LCSC career out by leading the team with 12 total kills. Senior Amanda Browne, along with Sophomore Marie Lauder and Freshmen Jenna Kirk, each registered 10 kills respectively.
Freshmen Stephanie Wayt and Sophomore Megan Dolny split time at the setter position, with both combing a total of 50 assists.
On the opposite side of the net, Warner Pacific was led by Orejeona LaFever, who registered a total 11 kills.
Lewis-Clark State College is hosting the Holiday Inn Express Tournament this weekend, where 10 total teams take part in this three-day event. Play continues tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., and runs through until 8 p.m. later that night. The Warriors will be taking on Western Baptist in tomorrow evenings nightcap, scheduled for an 8 p.m. start.
