Moscow High School’s Kelly Scott Coming to LCSC
12-13-05
After leading Moscow High School’s volleyball team
to a 24-0 record and a 4A State Championship in
2005, Kelly Scott has signed a letter of intent to
play for Lewis-Clark State College and Head Coach,
Erin Mellinger. Scott, a 5’11”
outside-hitter/middle-blocker, had an impressive
2005 season, recording 244 kills (2.975 per game),
70 blocks, and 33 service aces. She was a member of
the 1st Team IEL League, 2nd
Team State Tournament, and was even recognized by
KLEW as an Athlete of the Week.
Even though Scott is an incoming freshman Coach
Mellinger believes she will be able to contribute
during the 2006 season, “We are excited to introduce
Kelly Scott as the newest member of L-C Warrior
Volleyball. She brings a competitive spirit and a
winning attitude which we find very important in
continuing to build a successful program.” Scott is
the second player to be recruited in the last two
weeks, as the Warriors begin to prepare for the 2006
volleyball season.
