FRESHMAN: Played a big role on the team by seeing action in 94 games and 25 matches…was third on the team in kills with 193, the most of any returning player for this season….led team in total blocks (70) block assists (56), solo blocks (14) and serving percentage (.955)…added 14 service aces and 70 digs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played both volleyball and basketball at Kennewick where she was a teammate of Lindsay Scott…lettered four years in volleyball as a middle blocker and served as co-captain her junior and senior seasons…record 17 kills in a game during her sophomore season and earned 1st team all-Big 9 Conference, Area and All-State honors her senior season…was a second-team all-conference selection as a junior…lettered three years in basketball.
PERSONAL: Born April 18, 1987 in Richland….parents are Steve and Karen…has one brother, Steve, and one sister Lyndsay…earned a 3.75 GPA in high school and a member of the National Honor Society...is pursuing a degree in biology at LCSC.
FAVORITE MOVIE: Drop Dead Gorgeous.
FAVORITE FOOD: Taco Truck.
DREAM JOB: Trainer for professional sports team.

COACH MELLINGER ON JULIE: “She did a great job as a freshman last year. She could have redshirted for us last year but we needed someone like her in the middle. We’re expecting even more this year from her.”
