JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Named
the Region 18 Player of the Year after an
outstanding season, which included helping North
Idaho College to a fourth-place finish at
nationals...earned first-team National Junior
College Athletic Association All-American honors
last year and was a first-team all-Region 18
selection both years…played in 142 games last
year and totaled 450 kills, 74 service aces, 82
blocks, and 455 digs…she was third in assists
and aces per game in the Scenic West Athletic
Conference, fifth in hitting percentage, and
sixth in kills…played in 83 games as a freshman
and had 278 kills, 20 assists, 36 service aces,
39 blocks, and 298 digs.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Sagrada Famlia High School in Brazil
where she played volleyball. She graduated in
1998.
PERSONAL:
Born Sept. 1, 1980 in Irati, Brazil…her mother
is Vera Lucia Alessi, and her stepfather is Jose
Bento Mores…has one brother, Luiz Fernando…Cintia
coached a club team in Mt. Vernon, Wash., before
playing at NIC…she played on three club teams in
Curitiba…she is majoring in Kinesiology. |
