The Lewis-Clark State
College women’s volleyball
team is ranked eighth in the
Region I standings in the
first regular-season NAIA
region rankings, which were
released this week.
The Warriors, 2-2 overall
after the opening the season
in the Concordia University
Tournament in Portland, are
the fourth team from the
Frontier Conference in the
rankings.
Westminster holds down the
top spot, followed by
Albertson, Great Falls,
Southern Oregon, Montana
Tech, Concordia, Oregon
Institute of Technology, and
LCSC.
The regional rankings are
used to determine national
rankings. In the national
poll, Westminster is No. 8,
Albertson is No. 11, and
Great Falls is tied for No.
24.
LCSC resumes play this
weekend in the four-team
Whitworth Invitational in
Spokane. LCSC will meet
Willamette at noon, and
Whitworth at 6 p.m. on
Friday, and then
Montana-Western at noon on
Saturday. The top two teams
in round-robin play will
play for the title at 4 p.m.
Saturday, while the
third-place match will be at
2 p.m.
