After five straight weeks of being ranked 12th, and 19 straight matches without a loss, the Lewis-Clark State College volleyball team has been moved to No. 11 in the latest NAIA poll, while LCSC junior Anile Clemente (left) was named Player of the Week in the Frontier Conference.
The Warriors, now holding a 19-0 record, received 492 points in the poll and were able to switch places with Dordt College (Iowa) to move up in rank. LCSC now sits just 17 points away from being in the top 10. As has been the case all season, Fresno Pacific holds down the No. 1 spot.
No other conference schools made the top 25, but Great Falls did receive votes.
Clemente, who recorded 25 kills with only four attack errors in two matches last week, earned her second Player of the Week award this season. This marks the third time in five week’s that an LCSC player has earned the award, as freshman Josi Lyman received the honor last week.
Clemente currently leads the conference with 3.7 kills, and 0.6 aces per game.
