Lewis-Clark State College junior Anile Clemente has been named to the 2008 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-America Second Team as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.

The 5-foot-11 outside hitter enjoyed another outstanding year in the program and helped the Warriors to a 30-4 record and a berth in the NAIA national tournament for the second straight year. It’s only the fourth time LCSC has won 30 matches in a season. LCSC won the Frontier Conference regular season and tournament titles for the second straight year, and then defeated
Clemente was voted the conference’s Player of the Year this season after sharing the award with Angie Johnson of
Clemente led the Warriors in kills this season with 436 and service aces with 65. She also was third in hitting percentage at .277 and second in digs with 366.
Clemente also was honored as the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association Player of the Year for Region I and is eligible for the organization’s All-America team. She was a third-team selection last year.
