The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 11 in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Volleyball Poll, which was released on Tuesday.
The Warriors, 9-4 overall, drew 462 points in the poll to climb a spot after Morningside College of Iowa fell from No. 10 to No. 13.
LCSC is riding a four-match win streak and is looking to make it five in a row against Whitman College at the LCSC Activity Center tonight. The match begins at 6 p.m.
The Warriors are the seventh team in the poll from the West as Golden State Athletic Conference teams continue to dominate. Fresno Pacific, Concordia and California Baptist continue to hold down the top three spots. Those three teams, along with No. 7 College of Idaho, are the only teams LCSC has lost to this season. The Warriors also own a win over No. 8 Azusa Pacific.
LCSC is the only Frontier Conference team ranked, but Carroll, with 103 votes, was only two spots out of making the poll. Rocky Mountain also received a vote in the poll.
After tonight’s match, LCSC will entertain Westminster on Friday at 7 p.m.
