Despite four of the top five teams losing a match last week, the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Volleyball poll remained nearly unchanged from last week with Lewis-Clark State College holding down the No. 11 spot.
The Warriors stretched their win streak to eight matches last week with a three-game sweep over Westminster to improve to 12-4 on the season. The Warriors drew 463 points in the poll at trail No. 10 Point Loma Nazarene by 23 points.
The only change in the top 10 saw No. 5 Northwestern College of Iowa and No. 6 Georgetown College of Kentucky switch places after Northwestern beat Georgetown. No. 2 Concordia, No. 3 California Baptist and No. 4 Columbia also lost last week, but held on to their same spots in the poll.
There were only two other teams to swap places among the top 16 teams in the country in this week’s poll.
Fellow Frontier Conference member Carroll College drew 56 points in the poll, which was fifth-best among teams receiving votes that didn’t make the Top 25. LCSC and Carroll square off Saturday in Helena, Mont., with first place in the conference standings on the line.
