The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team continued with its presence in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll this season with a No. 24 ranking in this week’s poll, which was released on Tuesday.
The poll saw little change as the top 15 teams remained the same. Undefeated Fresno Pacific remained the unanimous No. 1 team, while California Baptist, Northwestern College of Iowa, Concordia and Azusa Pacific held down the top five spots.
LCSC, which defeated Azusa Pacific this season, is ranked No. 24 after splitting on the road last week in Frontier Conference play. The Warriors, 16-7 overall, are one of two FC teams to be ranked as Carroll moved up two spots to No. 21. The Warriors fell three spots in the poll and garnered 162 points, one ahead of No. 25 Doane College of Nebraska.
The University of Great Falls, which defeated LCSC in a five-set match last week, drew 20 votes in the poll and was the only other FC team to receive votes.
LCSC resumes action Tuesday night against Whitman College in Walla Walla and then travels to Salt Lake City on Friday to face Westminster at 6 p.m.
Carroll and Great Falls are tied for the conference lead at 8-2 and will play this Saturday, while LCSC is 8-3. The Warriors face Carroll on the final day of the regular season on Nov. 7.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. The next poll will be announced on Nov. 3.
