Three members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team were honored as NAIA 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball-Scholar Athletes, the organization announced on Friday.
Seniors Dani Barrett and Lisa Davis join junior Kim Fong as recipients of the honor. Barrett is a middle blocker on the team from Port Angeles, Wash., while both Davis, who is from Genesee, and Fong, who is from Lewiston, are setters with the team.
Each recipient is nominated by their head coach. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and be a junior in academic standing.
A total of 304 student-athletes were honored by the NAIA.
