Lewis-Clark State College will play host to the Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament for the third straight year, FC commissioner Kent Paulson announced on Thursday.
The Warriors will play host to the eight-team single-elimination tournament on Nov. 12-13. The past two years have featured the four first round matches on Friday, followed by the two semifinal matches on Saturday morning and early afternoon. The title match will be played Saturday night. All matches will be at the LCSC Activity Center.
“The Frontier Conference knows a good thing when we see it,” added Paulson. “For the third consecutive year the commissioner and athletic administrators have voted to return to Lewis-Clark State. President (Dene) Thomas, athletic director Gary Picone and staff along with coach Jennifer Greeny and her staff put on a quality event. The Lewiston-Clarkston communities go all out in supporting this event. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of this tournament in 2009 and look forward to an even bigger and better event in 2010.”
The Warriors have won or shared the FC regular-season title for three straight seasons and have won the past three conference tournament titles. LCSC also has qualified for the NAIA national tournament all three seasons.
Paulson also announced the FC cross country championships will be Nov. 5 at the Crooked Falls Golf Course in Great Falls, Mont., with the University of Great Falls serving as the host.
