SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Lewis-Clark State College junior middle blocker Nicole Graybeal was selected to the 2010 Tachikara NAIA All-Tournament Team for her performance at the NAIA Volleyball National Championships.
Graybeal was one of 15 players honored at the tournament, which wrapped up Saturday with Fresno Pacific winning its fourth straight title.
Graybeal stood out defensively at nationals where she had 28 total blocks, including five solo blocks. Her block average of 1.3 per set tied her for sixth at the tournament. Her 28 blocks tied for tops at the tournament as did her five solo blocks, while her 23 block assists tied for second.
Graybeal also finished with 65 kills in the tournament for an average of 3.1 per set. The 65 kills tied for the 13th highest total in the tournament. She also had a hitting percentage of .294, which ranked No. 18 overall, and five service aces, which tied her for 14th overall.
The Warriors reached the quarterfinal round before they were eliminated by top-seeded Lee. LCSC finished the season at 31-3 to mark its best winning percentage during a season and also its second-highest finish at the national tournament.
