Ali Hubert, a senior at Sam Barlow High School in Gresham, Ore., has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team.
Hubert is a 5-foot-11 setter who earned first-team all-league honors this past season under head coach LaToya Harris. Her team finished second in the league and ninth at state. Hubert was also a three-year letter-winner in soccer.
The Warriors went 31-3 and marched to their fourth consecutive Frontier Conference regular-season title in 2010 and also claimed their fourth straight conference tournament title. LCSC finished fifth overall at nationals which was its best finish since they claimed third in 1998.
The team lost four seniors including starting setter Kim Fong. Hubert is now one of three setters on the roster.
Hubert; who lists her hobbies as spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and shopping; is the daughter of Jason and Renee Hubert and has twin brothers, Eli and Ian. She plans to study Nursing at LCSC.
